Display and Packaging

I am in love with making my own packaging and display.  Now I am suppose to keep a consistent theme going, but I could not pass up FREE.  60 boards and they already have the holes.  All it took was some stamps and ink and I have a DIY display.

Here is what I did with them.

First, I picked the stamps I would use to decorate.  I only needed a few.  My favorite is the Sincerely and Live, Laugh and Love stamp.

****Note, most of the inks I picked up from thrift shops, garage sale and as you can see 50 cents at Jo-Ann Fabrics*******

To make it interesting, I just repeated the same stamp on each card.

I plan to use them to display my beaded bookmarks and key rings., which I will showing later.o I plan to add my business logo on the back side.   Stay tune.

More Jewelry Displays and Maxwell singing Fortunate

***Side Note -  I will start all my blogs with music.  It will be a link or as in this case a video.  You can choose to play it or not.  If you, sit back and enjoy as you read.  If not, send me some suggestions. ***

I am revamping my business.  Some things will stay the same and other's, well........   I have been DIYing (yes it is a word) a lot of my displays and  holders.   I will usually take garage sale items and thrift store finds to help set up my table.   I try to have at least several different setups depending on the table and where I am vending. That's another post.   Let me show what I have been working with and what I am working with now.

Separate the embroidery ring, stretching the fabric over the inner ring.  Put the rings back to together  keeping the material tight.  Sew down the edges.  This is a great holder for
fish hook earrings.  You can also hook the rings on a peg board.
I  use this stand to hold my business cards.  so that If I am busy, anyone can take card.  Genius!  I know you will agree.

Coffee cup stand is great for bracelets.

         Another bracelet holder.
I actually got this at a after Christmas sale for 75 cents.

This is the only jewelry display, I have brought brand new.   It holds a multitude of  necklaces. and it turns.

I use this tray to hold earring on cards that have posts.

This item holds my business sign.

Now for my new displays.
Isn't it cute.  50 cents.  I love the curls and swirls.

It has this glass ball on top.  Very glamorous

.
I love this bowl at the bottom.   More items can fit inside

Sorry about not cropping.   I found this one for $2.00.   I think I will keep this one for my  self.  Wanna see?
It has a little bowl too.   So happy.

It holds all my earrings except my hoops.  Will find another display to those

I love the swirls on this one as well.  I  put two earrings into on groove
Again, sorry.   Not lazy, just having computer problems.  Another 50 cent find.  I  have not decided to use this one.  I will let you know.

I wish everything cost 50 cents( Yes, I got this one for ....... 50 cents).
I know I am going to put this on my table,
but in what capacity, I dunno.

I do know, I am going to attach
this base to something more sturdy.

Jewelry Stands

One of my revamping projects for my business is to take better pictures and making a better display, while still on a budget.  I want everything to look professional, but when your money is funny, you have to make do.  Here comes my version of DIY jewelry displays.    Let me show you what I mean.

I found these acrylic cases at my local thrift shop

30 cents is not bad, plus they come apart for additional storage of business cards, bracelets or earrings.   Ya think?
Sorry about the mess.  Sometimes, I create better in total disarray.    I found this photo frame at another thrift shop.  The frame was surrounded by glass beads.  I stripped the beads(to be shown later).  The backing was just the right size for a earring display.

I added white board, trimmed off the excess, and punched to holes for the earrings to hand from.  At a garage sale, I purchased this photo frame.   Unfortunately I did not take a pic of the beaded frame or the glass.  I plan to use the left over   glass as another back drop when taking pictures.  Waste not want not.

I can't believe my luck.  I found this lighted display at the same thrift shop.  Only $1.50.   Now I can use an under light to help when taking pictures.
This is how it looks in a dark room.   I will post my pic after using this light, so you all can see.  Get it?  Never mind that spot in the upper right hand corner.  I plan to paint that and use a bulb with a higher wattage, say about 75 daylight.  This should give my pic's even more definition.   We shall see.
Here is what I am really excited about.  I found this piece at another garage sale.  Only $1.00.    Can you guess what I am going to do?
When you put the pieces together, this is what you have.   I plan to make something else.  I decided I needed something white to showcase my necklaces.   This was the perfect stand.
I traced  the shape on to white board.  I cut two pieces, front and back.

Next, I taped both pieces to the side of a white box that I already had.

Here is the side view.  This old box will help this display stand up.

I used tape strips to adhere the cutout to the display.
Here is one side of the finished(well semi finished) display.  I plan to cover the bottom again with more white board.  If not, I can always crop out the bottom.
As you can see, all I need to do is trim the excess.

As my creativity holds out, I shall be making more displays.  Stay tune.
